Layne tested for his green belt on Friday night. He did so great, but he was so tried by the time it was over. We didn't get home until almost 10:00! I couldn't be more proud of him though, he has been in Tae Kwon Do for one year and has moved up 4 belts. He now moves up to train in the advanced classes.

My baby is 8 today. I look at the little man he has turned into and I love him so much. I can't wait to see what kind of big man he turns into! Layne chose to go to Golden Corral for breakfast this morning. My mom and Joe met us and we had a really nice time, but Layne wanted to hurry up and get home so we could finish packing! We dropped Layne off at the bus at 1:00. He looked scared, then excited, then nervous, then scared. Once he got on the bus and sat down I think he felt better. I might have had a tear or two and Brenden was quite sad, but he will be back before we know it with some awesome memories!

Tim got off work early today so we packed up a picnic dinner and took the kids out to McDowell Damn. I cooked some brats on the camp stove while the boys took off to fish. Mom and Joe came out too and mom and I rented a peddle boat and took the boys out one at at a time for an hour. It was a really nice night, but no one caught any fish. We might have to go out to Sweet Brair on Saturday afternoon to see if we can caught anything!

It was a beautiful day here today, so i took the boys swimming again. I really do have three boys who must be part fish! I had to bribe them out of the pool with popsicles!

I still feel quite tried today, but I did manage to get a few things done and a real supper made.

It's going to be a big weekend for Layne! He gets to test for his green belt on Friday, he leaves for church camp on Sunday, and it is also his birthday on Sunday!

Well the convention was great! There were no major problems which Debbie and I are extremely thankful for!! The servant events and gifts from the heart went really well. Thanks Jody and De! All the speakers and the bible studies were great. And of course Tangled Blue was awesome! I am now officially part of the North Dakota District Board of Directors. I was installed as Vice President of Servant Resources. Debbie was nominated from the floor and was elected to serve as Recording Secretary. So we will get to serve our 4 year terms together!!

My husband was great all weekend. He really was a lot of help and actually spoiled me on Father's day weekend. He got me a beautiful purple spider mum and a pink fishing rod (he seems to think that I have overcome my fear, we are going to go fishing Wednesday night with our neighbors). I was so tried last night that I didn't even make him a nice meal, we got Italian nachos from Johny Carinos!

They boys seemed to have a good time too. They had fun at daycare on Saturday and Layne still can't stop talking about the Tangled Blue concert!

Whew! Only 2 days until the convention. Things have been crazy busy around here. The boys have been enjoying the nice weather and play outside all day every day. I am trying to stay on top of my homework and get all the last minute details done!!

I took all 3 boys swimming by myself today. It was so much fun! The twins are pretty good swimmers. They went down the slide, swam over to the ladder, and got out all by themselves. It was a bit windy today so it was really cold when you got out, but they heat the water so that was pretty nice!

My online English Composition class isn't going to be much fun! I have to write 3 papers in 7 weeks. Layne is enjoying his summer school. This week is all about water.

Only 10 days until the convention!

Layne and Serenity's birthday party was great! It sprinkled for a few minutes so the kids took cover under the tables and in the jump house and Derek had to protect the food. One girl lost a tooth and one boy cut his finger and needed a band aid, but with 17 kids I think that is pretty good. After the birthday party we made dinner for both Maria and our families. Maria and Derek stayed and we had a fire. The twins tried out early and ended up falling asleep out side. Layne and Serenity stayed up way to late. Layne was having fun playing on his new Nintendo DS. Tim and I also stayed up way too late visiting with Derek and Maria!

Layne started Camp Edventure today and I started 1 of my summer school classes. The break was too short!

The LWML Convention is only 11 days away!

Had such a great weekend at the lake. The weather was awesome on Saturday, almost 90 degrees! The boys were in the water most of the day. Sunday wasn't quite as nice, the boys weren't in the water but got to fish and play with the marshmallow gun Tim made. I was even brave enough to put a fishing pole in the water and caught a couple of fish!

Laynes Tae Kwon Do moved into it's new building tonight and I am not sure I am very happy. It is an extremely small room. There are no punching bags, and no room to run for warm up. So we will see how it goes.
